Prayers

Need to memorized (in any language)

  • In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

    Amen

  • Our Father, who art in heaven,
    hallowed be thy name;
    thy kingdom come,
    thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
    and forgive us our trespasses,
    as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.

    Amen.

  • Hail, Mary, full of grace,
    the Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
    Holy Mary, Mother of God,
    pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

    Amen.

  • Glory be to the Father
    and to the Son
    and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning
is now, and ever shall be
    world without end.

    Amen.

  • O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended you,
and I detest all my sins because of your just punishments,
but most of all because they offend you, my God,
who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace,
    to sin no more
and to avoid the near occasions of sin.
    Amen

    1. I am the Lord your God: You shall not have strange Gods before me.

    2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

    3. Remember to keep holy the Lord’s Day.

    4. Honor your father and mother.

Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created,
and you shall renew the face of the earth.

    Let us pray.

O God, who have taught the hearts of the faithful

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,

and died for our sins and that he will come

  • St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
    Amen.

  • Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
    that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
    implored thy help,
    or sought thy intercession,
    was left unaided.
    Inspired by this confidence
    I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
    To thee do I come,
    before thee I stand,
    sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
    despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
    Amen.

  • Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope.
    To thee do we cry,
    poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
    Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us,
    and after this our exile
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
    O clement, O loving,
    O sweet Virgin Mary.
